Presenting New Works by Saskia Wendland

2025

Saskia Wendland’s practice consists primarily of drawing, but also incorporates performative means and installation. Simple and ritualized movements and gestures are at the forefront. Through performative repetition, the focus is on continuous practice. The element of time is essential to her work and determines its duration. urKultur presented new work by Saskia, alongside her work 28.03.2013-03.11.2013 in a pop up event in Berlin.

Saskia studied visual communication at Universität der Künste and Japanese calligraphy in Kyoto. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally, including Deutscher Künstlerbund, Berlin; Plateforme, Paris; Annet Gelink Gallery, Amsterdam; Galerie Vincenz Sala, Berlin; Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin, and Liu Haisu Museum, Shanghai. She has held various teaching positions, including most recently at Universität der Künste.
